McGregor Square Residences

McGregor Square entertainment, residential, hotel and office development is one of the last developable plots of land in Denver’s lower downtown. I was asked to photograph the residences in 2020 and I finished the project in 2021. The excitement of the project was overshadowed by the Covid pandemic but soon became the place to be in 2022 and beyond. Numerous daily and weekly activities add to the allure of this space and contribute to the project’s overall tempting attraction.

The three-building, 650,000-square-foot development emphasizes mixed use property with retail, hotel and hospitality operations, condos and offices at 19th and Wazee streets – right across from Coors Field at 20th and Blake streets. The 13-story buildings wrap around a 28,000-square-foot public plaza topped with a giant LED screen where the public will watch the games and movies also!

A Coors Field connection runs deeper than just location. McGregor Square was commissioned and is owned by Colorado Rockies co-owner, CEO and Chairman Dick Monfort with a group of investors.

The estimated $365 million McGregor Square development was built by Greeley-based Hensel Phelps and designed by architecture firm Stantec, based in Edmonton, Canada. Other developers are taking notice as well and complimenting the project because of the difficulty of the urban-infill, mixed-use project built in less than five years.

McGregor Square Residences is a 13-story building featuring 103 condos brokered by My Denver Team, Dee Chirafisi, Kevin Garrett and Matt McNeil with The Kentwood Companies. All units sold out quickly and they are now on the second and third resales!

The hotel and condo buildings are connected with an enclosed walkway on the 11th floor. Hotel guests and residents have access to the fitness center and a deck that features a pool and mountain views. Condo residents will also have access to separate saunas, a steam room, party room, private owners club and an amenity room.

An incredible project and one that I am very proud to have photographed.
